OUR STORY

Both of our founders were raised in the middle of the trauma as refugees in Uganda. Fortunately, they found a new relationship with Jesus Christ that brought them hope, and through them, God was about to bring much more hope for thousands of children and young people in Rwanda.
In September 2001, Africa’s New Life Ministry started in Kayonza a place Dr. Charles Mugisha had spent a lot of time at during the early days after the genocide. In Kayonza district, Africa New Life Ministries started by sponsoring 30 children. And a lot has happened since then. The development of the ministry kicked off in 2003, expanding with a current reach to 13 communities that Africa New Life Ministries operates. The once young children without hope are now the men and women holding the light of what Rwanda is, of how small acts of faith can turn into big testimonies.
